Covenant Academy is a State-Licensed Proprietary School offering Certified Nursing Assistant Classes monthly. The C.N.A. training classes are 10 days for day classes and 15 days for the evening classes. WE ASSIST WITH JOB PLACEMENT.
Lab and lecture both are held in our newly renovated facility located in Bloomfield Hills in Oakland County. Classes are taught by seasoned Train the Trainer Instructors and Registered Nurses. Clinical experience is at a local Long Term Care Facility.
Our (2) week classes will prepare the student for an entry level Nursing Assistant position in LTC, Nursing Homes and or Hospitals.
O.B.R.A., the Federal Act established in 1978 -set the standards for the formalized Nurse Aide Training and Certification. The Federal Act mandates a minimum of 75 hours – NAT Training, with 24.5 hours in clinical and 16 in a lab practicum and 32 hours in theory. Students must clear their schedules for 10 days (Mon – Fri, 9 – 4 pm) or evenings (Mon – Thurs; 4 – 9) and be committed to attend all classes, lab practices and clinical.
- CLINICAL IS AT DIFFERENT TIME THAN CLASS AND YOU MUST HAVE OWN TRANSPORTATION. Clinical time is a non-paid mandatory rotation.
- MUST ATTEND FIRST DAY OF CLASS – NO EXCEPTIONS
- NO CLINICAL DAYS CAN BE MISSED.
